FORT SMITH, Ark. —
The annual Steel Horse Rally will return to downtown Fort Smith on May 7 for its sixth year.
The motorcycle rally was originally scheduled for May 2020, but it was delayed until August 2020 due to the risks posed by COVID-19. That August date was postponed as well.
Organizers expect a record crowd.
"In 2019 we had some bad weather, and we had an estimated crowd of 80,000," rally president Dennis Snow said. "People know how great the motorcycle roads are in western Arkansas, in eastern Oklahoma, and they'll come in and help us support our charities and have a great time in downtown Fort Smith."
No face coverings are required, but masks and social distancing are encouraged.
