Title: Rebel Road motorcycle rally’s beer, music returning to Muskegon’s main street

MUSKEGON, MI – Rebel Road is roaring back into downtown Muskegon this summer with its old format – including at least one beverage tent with live music on Western Avenue, and five days of festivities.

Last July, the motorcycle rally's beer and music were forced to move to Hackley Park due to social district rules on Western Avenue – renamed Rebel Road for the event.

However, state legislation signed into law Thursday, March 10, allows Rebel Road to have a special event license inside the social district, Kyleen Gee, event organizer and executive director of the Child Abuse Council, told MLive.

That means the beer tent with live music will return to the parking lot across from Muskegon's downtown arena.

All proceeds from the motorcycle event benefit the Child Abuse Council.

This year, Rebel Road is back to five days, from July 13-17.

Gee estimates 60,000 and 80,000 people will attend Rebel Road this year.
